Library

The FSS library provides books and films for ships in different languages. We welcome requests for both. You can share your wishes with the library or your Ship Service Coordinator.

Ship Service Coordinators exchange books and films during ship visits. When needed, materials can also be delivered by post.

FSS Library Catalogue

In the FSS Library Catalogue, you can browse the library collection and request books and films for your ship. FSS processes the requests and delivers them to the ship.

Digital Bookshelf

The Digital Bookshelf contains e-books and audiobooks that you can borrow directly to your own device. To get your personal user account, email your name, email address and the name of your ship to kirjasto(at)mepa.fi.

Loan Packages for Ships

24 DVD or Blu-ray films, loan period approximately 1 month

24 books, loan period approximately 3 months

You can request specific books, films, languages and package contents.

Book Club

The Book Club meets online every month. A few times a year the book club holds hybrid meetings.

You are welcome to join the discussion even if you have not read the featured book.

Book Club meetings are held in Finnish.
